Our working philosophy focuses on animal welfare and strict compliance with European regulations.

We constantly seek food safety certification to ensure quality in each product we offer.

Being located in a rural setting in the Selva comarca of Girona, we always take care of the environmental surroundings

Animal Welfare

Complying with the regulations established by European legislation, with regards animal welfare, we carry out a strict monitoring of our suppliers’ facilities, validating the monitoring the recommendations established by the Euro Foie Gras Sector Association though audits.

At Mas Parés, we are committed to strictly complying with these standards, thus guaranteeing the best living conditions for our animals.

This commitment reflects our ethics in all phases of our production process.

Food Safety

At Mas Parés, food safety is our top priority. All our processes and production are subject to strict quality controls supervised by our quality department.

We are IFS (International Featured Standard) certified , ensuring that each product that leaves our facility meets the highest food safety standards.

In addition, when we export our products outside Spain, we comply with the food safety regulations established by the Specific Self-Control System (SAE in its Spanish acronym) (Level 3). This guarantees food safety in export processes to third countries, following the instructions and regulations of the MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE and the MINISTRY OF HEALTH OF THE GOVERNMENT OF SPAIN.

Environmental Commitment

Since 1983, we have been registered with the Ministry of Health, (RG No. 10/04441 / GE),

highlighting our commitment to public health.

In addition, we have ecological purification equipment fed by three septic decanting tanks, where we pour out our waste.

All this managed by duly approved companies in waste management. This system, together with periodic controls, fluid analysis and others, guarantees NO POLLUTION of our rural environment.

Locally-sourced produce, revitalising our local economy

Choosing Mas Parés as our headquarters responds to our commitment to the maintenance and growth of our local economy.

The Masia is listed building with the department of culture of the Government of Catalonia.

Our people come mostly from the local towns in the comarca de la Selva. We try to obtain our supplies from companies and producers belonging to our area.

Thus enhancing the revitalisation, growth and support for the development of the territiry.
