Mas Parés, an old 14th century manor house, is the first producer in Spain to be officially approved by the European Union for the preparation of products derived from ducks or geese. Mas Parés is situated in the district of La Selva in the province of Girona.

Using business management based on continual innovation and product quality, Mas Parés has placed at the peak of haute cuisine. The company was created 30 years ago by Fernando de Vilallonga, together with the brothers Esteve and Jaume Juher (the latter is the current manager of the R&D department at Mas Parés).

Within a few years has positioned it as a European reference for Foie Gras to become the utmost example of innovation in its sector over recent year (source: AECOC 2002), a model innovative company (source: IESE, Iniciativas Emprendedoras, January-March 2003) and a paradigm of innovation (FAD, Design Year 2003).
